Malawi for deep diplomatic relations with Mozambique

The president of Malawi, Lazarus Chakwera has vowed to deepen 50-year old of diplomatic relations with the leader of Mozambique, Daniel Chapo at Kamuzu palace, Lilongwe, where the officials of the two government have signed the three bilateral agreements in the field of information, communication, technology, transport and trade.

Chakwera have told Chapo that he will work with him in taking the interconnector forward as the two countries are not just linked by geography but also by culture and power interconnection lines. The president has further appreciated the progress which is continuing under Chapo’s tenure.

The president of Mozambique, Chapo have expressed his gratitude to Chakwera through his visit to Malawi as an opportunity to strengthen the historical relations of brotherhood, friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two countries. Chapo has also urged the members of the business community in Malawi to start investing in Mozambique.
